In 2019, Montenegro consumed the most milk of any nation per capita, 368 litres. When it comes to soft drinks or soda, the United States gulps down the most Coca-Cola, Pepsi or Fanta. For beer, Czech Republic is the top consumer. In this video I visualize how much we drink per year of the most common drinks and what those differences look like on a world map. What we drink affects our health and globally consumption patterns are changing when awareness of how sugar and alcohol are impacting us.

Spirits: 1 marker = 1 litres of spirits consumed per person over the age of 15 and year. Top consumer Latvia.
Coffee: 1 marker = 1 kg of coffee beans consumed per person and year. Top consumer Luxembourg.
Tea: 1 marker = 1 kg of tea leaves consumed per person and year. Top consumer Paraguay.
Milk: 1 marker = 30 litres of cow, buffalo, sheep, goat and camel milk consumed per person and year. Top consumer Montenegro.
